The International Boxing Association (IBA), whose head is the scandalous Russian Umar Kremliov,

banned our athletes from participating in the European Youth Championship under the Ukrainian flag

, forcing them to enter the ring exclusively under the IBA flag.

Because of this, Ukrainian boxers staged a protest and generally refused to enter the ring.

After a loud scandal, the junior boxing team of Ukraine

decided to immediately leave the continental championship

, which is ongoing in Montesilvano, Italy.

The holder of the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles Oleksandr Usyk expressed solidarity with his compatriots, who posted a video message on his Instagram.

"I want to express my support for the Ukrainian national boxing team, which was banned from performing under the flag and anthem of Ukraine at the European Championship. Umare (Umar Kremlov, a Russian businessman who runs the IBA), this is not just a flag, it is the colors of freedom around the world. You will not succeed to break the spirit of our boys who compete. You can't even dream of it.

Guys, you are well done!

Thank you for showing the world your bravery and fortitude.

Ukrainians are indomitable.

Glory to Ukraine!"
