Jamie Carragher has said he was right from day one about Cristiano Ronaldo's unsuccessful return to Manchester United and that is why the Portuguese ignored him on Monday night.

The Red Devils hosted Liverpool at Old Trafford and before the game, the football superstar went to say goodbye to Roy Keane and Gary Neville.

The legend of Redsa was also there, whom the 37-year-old openly ignored by refusing to speak to him.

I get a custard pie for getting it right on Ronaldo from day one!

The custard pie for him from ETH shows the Manager thinks the same!!

Maybe the ex Man United Legends (sycophants!) will now agree with me 😎 https://t.co/Yc7DcJ5pcX

Giving his version of this situation, Carragher emphasized that coach Erik ten Hag also thinks like him, after leaving Ronaldo on the bench in this very important match, which United won.

The former Liverpool defender joked about himself on Twitter, writing: “Bad night from start to finish!

My good friend Ronaldo left me empty, Man Utd showed fight and quality against Liverpool".

Bad night from start to finish!
