Strange accident happened after Nikhat Zareen won gold

New Delhi:

When India's star female boxer Nikhat Zareen won the gold medal in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games on Sunday, the whole country rejoiced at her success.

After winning the gold medal in the women's 50kg (light flyweight) category, Zareen proudly showed her love for the country to the world by hoisting the tricolor.

But at the venue, Sports Authority of Telangana State Chairman A Venkateswara Reddy was seen waving the photo of Telangana CM KCR, not Nikhat Zareen.

It is surprising that instead of celebrating the victory of an athlete who raised the name of the country, what is his reasoning behind waving the picture of the CM of Telangana?

Posts are constantly being made on social media regarding this matter.

Nikhat Zareen, who hails from Hyderabad (Telangana), won the gold medal by defeating Carly MC Naul of Northern Ireland 5-0 in the final.

This was India's fourth gold of the day and 17th overall in Birmingham (India at CWG 2022).

With this, India has moved up to the fourth position in the medal tally, leaving New Zealand behind.

The Indian boxer had won the World Boxing Championship title earlier this year and has now won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games.
