After the successful preparatory phase in Gjakovë, the U18 Kosovo national handball team traveled to Slovenia where they will continue their preparations for next month's European Championship.

Our handball players have already settled in Rogashka Slatina in Slovenia.

On Saturday, they played the first preparatory match against Saudi Arabia.

In fact, this was also the first match of this generation of Kosovo U18.

Consequently, the beginning of the match was not good, but after that there were significant improvements in the game of our boys.

The Arabs won with a nine-goal difference, while the technical staff has great hope that the performance will be significantly better in the other three matches.

Kosovo U18 plays one more match against Saudi Arabia, while it has two matches against Kuwait.

Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are also present with U18.

The friendly matches are considered necessary for the best possible preparation for the European Championship held in Latvia from August 8 to 14.

In the U18 National Team, most are 16-year-old players, but with potential.

The friendlies in Slovenia, but also the European Championship in Latvia, will be a very important experience for the career of these players in handball.

In European Division B, Kosovo is in a group with North Macedonia, Latvia and Turkey.
