New Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly will host an informal dinner with his Premier League counterparts, according to reports.

The American businessman, who also co-owns the LA Dodgers, completed the $4.25 billion purchase of the London giants along with Clearlake Capital at the end of May.

Boehly has now hosted the dinner with his counterparts after the 20 leaders of the English football league gathered for their latest shareholders' meeting in London on Tuesday, according to The Athletic.

Although not every member of the group is said to be able to attend, Boehly's gesture is said to have been well received by his counterparts.

His reign at the London club is off to a full start with the Blues heading into the new season, but in terms of transfers they are stalling, having made just two.

Thomas Tuchel's side have underperformed here in the States, just when Boehly and Co wanted to show off their exciting new project.

He promised new faces and has begun to deliver with the €63m arrival of Manchester City star Raheem Sterling and the €41m signing of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
