Maybe Harry Maguire isn't as weak as Manchester United fans make him out to be.

On Tuesday night at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia, the Englishman strangely found himself booed by fans during United's pre-season friendly with Crystal Palace.

The centre-back is not really a popular figure among the fans, mainly due to his performances, and it was a surprise that Erik ten Hag retained him as captain.

However, beyond the attacks, Maguire had a superb game as the Ten Hag side continued their perfect pre-season record with a 3-1 win over three meetings.

The captain was so good that a highlight reel video simply had to be made, and it's hard to argue with how good he looks.

The 29-year-old looked a really solid player at the back, winning duels in the air and getting forward to release shots and block moves, and his ball-work was also a delight.

Ten Hag's style of play, or 'Ten Hag Ball' as it has been dubbed by excited United fans on social media, could certainly suit the former Leicester City man.
