Declan Rice has reportedly agreed a gentlemen's agreement with West Ham to stay for another season amid serious interest from Chelsea.

The 23-year-old Englishman has impressed since making his debut in 2017 against Burnley.

A number of Premier League clubs have followed Rice, including Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City.

However, the Hammers have put a €180m price tag on their captain, despite Rice rejecting a new deal.

But according to

talkSPORT

, the midfielder has a deal with West Ham to stay for another season ahead of a possible move away in 2023.

And journalist Alex Cook claims he "wouldn't be surprised" if Rice ended up at boyhood club Chelsea.

Rice played in Chelsea's academy until his release in 2014.

The move could also be influenced by his friendship with Blues midfielder Mason Mount.
