Former English footballer Danny Mills is in the headlines again, this time for his analysis of Lionel Messi and his chances of succeeding in the Premier League.

The former right-back of England and the clubs Leeds and Man City has said that Messi would not have a place in any of the six best clubs in the Premier League.

"Messi is the best soccer player I have ever seen."

"I know Cristiano Ronaldo's numbers are a bit better and he is more of a big player.

But, in terms of being a footballer, Messi is the greatest".

"But would you take Messi in your team now?

Maybe no.

I don't think [any of the Premier League's top six] would take him."

"Liverpool?

No.

Manchester City?

No.

Tottenham?

No, I don't think they would," Mills told talkSPORT.

🤔 "Would you take Lionel Messi right now?

However, Gabby Agbonlahor completely disagreed with Mills and said that Messi would play for any team.

"He would start in all those teams and he still has quality," Agbonlahor replied.
