Neeraj Chopra slips during Kuorten Games 2022

New Delhi:

Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal by throwing 86.69 meters of javelin in his first attempt at the Kuortane Games 2022 in Finland on Saturday.

He (Neeraj Chopra) defeated rivals 2012 Olympic champion Keshorn Walcott and 2019 world champion Anderson Peters to finish first.

Walcott of Trinidad and Tobago won the silver and Peters of Granada won the bronze.

During this event, a strong wind was blowing in Finland with light rain.

Athletes were facing difficulties due to bad weather.

The players were struggling while taking the run up before the throw and Neeraj Chopra had to go through the same problem.

During his third run up, Chopra slipped and twisted his leg, after which he fell.

He then decided not to throw in his last three attempts.

Seeing this sight of Indian superstar, the heart of any fan will sit in fear.

Nasty slip for Neeraj Chopra on a very slippery runway at the Kuortane Games.

He seems ok though.
