Francisco Gento, the Real Madrid legend and the only footballer in history with six European Cups in his name, died on Tuesday (today) at the age of 88.

Gento was currently the honorary president of Real Madrid, a post he had inherited from his friend and great teammate Alfredo di Stefano, who held him before him.

Paco Gento is the only player in the history of football to have won 6 European Cups.

He defended our club jersey in the years 1953-1971 and during the 18 seasons at Real Madrid won, in addition to 6 European Cups, 12 Leagues, 2 Spanish Cups, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 1 Small World Cup and 2 Latin Cups.

At Real Madrid he played 600 games and scored 182 goals.
