On Monday, April 1, Ukraine was covered with dust from the Sahara, due to which the air became dusty with desert dust.

This is reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

They emphasize that

this is not a dust storm,

so there is no danger for the population.

"For a dust storm, the wind speed must be higher than 12 m/s, and it must last for 3 hours or more. Forecasters of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center do not expect an increase in wind speed, and therefore there will be no storm this time. Please do not confuse dust with a dangerous phenomenon. Do not imagine too much and do not panic," the meteorologists reassured.

We will remind, the day before, dust from the Sahara desert was recorded in the western regions, and on April 1, it spread to almost the entire country.
