Olha Vasylevska-Smaglyuk, the deputy head of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, explained for whom and how pension payments will change from April 1.

She told about this on the air of the telethon "Edyny Novyny".

"Due to the increase in the minimum wage, both taxes and pensions will increase. Some changes await internally displaced persons as well. As for pensions, for working pensioners they will be changed depending on the insurance experience they have," said Vasylevska-Smaglyuk.

According to her, it will be automatic, but individually for each person.

"Also, pensions will increase for those persons who have reached the age of 65. Pensions will be recalculated upwards for them. This is an annual indexation, it took place in March. In addition to this annual indexation, there will also be an increase in pensions, the minimum pension for such persons. It will be insignificant, within the framework of 200 hryvnias, but since the increase was already in March, payments for this category of citizens will also be increased in April due to the increase in the minimum wage," the deputy noted.

She emphasized that pensions will also increase for working pensioners: "In my reception centers (I am elected in the north of Kyiv region), people often apply precisely because of the issue of wrong, as they believe, unfair assessments. I am contacting the pension fund and we will settle these issues."

We will remind you

that earlier we wrote that from April 1, pensions will be automatically transferred to those Ukrainians who continued to work after the appointment or transfer. This is all provided that as of March 1, 2024, such a pensioner has acquired 24 months of insurance experience.
