Former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ihor Romanenko recalled that before the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian army exceeded the potential of NATO countries in terms of conventional weapons. The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir

, knew this, speculated about it, and continues to exert such pressure today.

He told about this in an interview with OBOZ.UA.

Romanenko emphasized that during the two years of the war, Ukraine gave the Baltic countries, Poland, Romania, Moldova and all NATO countries, as well as the USA, the opportunity to better prepare for the upcoming war.

"NATO is building up its potential, and Putin already understands that he will no longer be able to compete with all of them. That is why he needs this pause with Ukraine. He has already transferred his industry to military rails, is launching new productions. He will make a few more "Crocuses" and more will rally the ranks of the Russians even more. There will be even more people ready to fight with Europe. That's how they will reach America. If the Americans continue to behave like this, they will wait for their Pearl Harbor," says Ihor Romanenko.

Although Western countries were able to significantly increase their capabilities. As the military noted, "unfortunately, the USA has not yet had its own Macron, who would declare his intention to send troops to Ukraine."

"The states have every opportunity to help Ukraine. In the US, they are trying to show that everything boils down to the position of Congress, but this is a message for their voters, not for Ukrainians and not for experts, who know for sure that the US president can sign a document on the transfer of ammunition even today Ukraine, weapons that are simply being destroyed in the USA. Without Congress or anything else. The President of the USA has the right to do this, but he does not do it," summed up Lieutenant General Ihor Romanenko.

Attack on Pearl Harbor

- On December 7, 1941, the American naval and air bases located on the outskirts of Pearl Harbor on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, suffered a devastating attack from Japan. The attack marked the beginning of the Pacific War between Japan and the United States. The main goal of the attack on Pearl Harbor was to neutralize the US Pacific Fleet to ensure the freedom of action of the Japanese army and navy in Southeast Asia.

It will be recalled that

a military expert warned that the occupiers plan to create two armies for a new offensive already in the spring.
