According to Mash, the building where the explosion occurred supplies energy to three defense enterprises:

  • Machine-Building Plant named after Kalinin;

  • Turbomotor factory;

  • "Uralmash".

These enterprises work in the field of metallurgy, cement industry and lifting and transport equipment for mining complexes.

According to Mash, it seems that "an improvised explosive device went off", however, according to the official version, the explosion was connected with "problems at the Kalinin substation".

Probably, "the detonation took place on a timer," the media wrote.

Information about the victims of the explosion has not yet been received.

The Russian authorities have not yet commented on this event.

At the same time, the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andrey Yusov, commenting on the explosion in Yekaterinburg, noted that "this is the responsibility of the Russian authorities."
