Former SBU employee, military expert Ivan Stupak noted that the leak of espionage information to the mass media could not have taken place without Putin's permission and violated one of the main rules of intelligence.

He stated this in a comment for Espresso.tv.

"The Russians are spying on NATO servicemen and officers all over the world, we must understand that, this is an unnecessary example. No one can say for sure how many previous conversations have already been listened to by the Russians in this way," explained Ivan Stupak.

According to the expert, the conversation about possible strikes by German Taurus missiles on the Crimean bridge was recorded during a four-person conference in a Zoom analog.

And the main question is whether the video conference was hacked, or whether one of these four officers is an agent of the Kremlin.

If we assume that the second option is correct, then it is unlikely that the agent expected that the recording he transmitted would be distributed in the mass media.

"It's important to understand that this recording was published by Margarita Simonyan, the queen of Russian propaganda, but she has an extremely close and friendly working relationship with Oleksii Gromov - he is the first deputy head of the administration of President Putin. I'm just more than sure that Gromov showed this recording to Putin , or sat with the security forces with Patrushev and Bortnikov. And Putin personally gave the order to publish," explained Stupak.

The expert believes that Putin has a distorted imagination in which NATO is fighting on the side of Ukraine, and this intercepted conversation is another proof of his "rightness".

"But he violated the golden rule in intelligence - never, never burn your sources in intelligence," the former SBU employee stressed.

It will be recalled that the Ministry of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany confirmed the interception of the conversation of Air Force officers.

But a spokeswoman for the ministry could not say in a press release whether the recording was original or had undergone changes before publication.
