The Government of Ukraine approved the draft law on the termination of the agreement with

Russia

on cooperation in the field of prevention of industrial accidents, disasters, natural disasters and elimination of their consequences.

This was announced by the permanent representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

"The project of the Law "On the denunciation of the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of prevention of industrial accidents, catastrophes, natural disasters and liquidation of their consequences" has been approved," the message reads.

He noted that the draft law proposes to terminate the intergovernmental agreement "due to a fundamental change in circumstances."

The agreement was signed in Moscow in 1997 and ratified by the Verkhovna Rada in 1999.

It will be recalled that

Zelensky signed an agreement on "security guarantees" with another country.
