There are currently 225 children whose parents refused mandatory evacuation

on the territory

of the Kupyan community of the Kharkiv region.

Andrii Besedin, the head of the Kupyan city military administration, told about this in an interview with Glavkom.

According to Besedin, the children cannot be evacuated even despite the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on mandatory and forced evacuation.

"In the text of the resolution, it is stated that parents have the right to refuse evacuation. Those people who are in the Kupyansk hromada wrote a refusal to evacuate their children. If we are talking about forced evacuation, then it was applied on the left bank of the Kupyansk hromada - this is "Kivsherivka, Kupyansk-Vuzlovy and the left bank directly of the city of Kupyansk. There are no children there. All children are on the right side of Kupyansk," the head of the MBA emphasized.

Also, people of retirement and pre-retirement age, as well as citizens who work in the structural units of the Kupyan City Council, communal enterprises, at the post office, or are carriers, refuse to evacuate.

Currently, there is no tendency to leave Kupyansk.

In the fall of 2023, when forced evacuation from the left bank of Kupyansk was announced due to increased shelling, many people left.

We will remind, the head of the Kharkiv OVA Oleg Sinegubov said that

they plan to introduce forced evacuation

of 18 villages in the region.

We are talking about the settlements of Velikoburlutsk and Vilkhuvatsk communities.
