The Ministry of Foreign Affairs

of Ukraine

called for a peaceful solution to problematic issues of an economic and socio-humanitarian nature in relations between Moldova and the unrecognized Transnistria, without external interference.

This

is stated

in the commentary on the situation in the Transnistrian region of Moldova.

The message indicates that Ukraine advocates a peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian conflict with respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova.

"We consider the "5+2" negotiating format to be dysfunctional due to the presence in it of the aggressor state of Russia, which cannot act as a peacemaker in any peaceful settlement," the message reads.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stated that Ukraine remains a participant in the settlement process in the region and considers the integration of the region into the Republic of Moldova to be the main goal.

Also, Ukraine advocates the speedy withdrawal of the Russian military contingent from the Transnistrian region of Moldova, the disposal of ammunition, and the reformatting of the mission on the Dniester from a military to a civilian one.

"Ukraine has been resisting Russian aggression for ten years and has been resisting a full-scale Russian invasion for more than two years. Our state knows like no other what the horrors of war are and what the price of peace is. We are making and will continue to make every effort to maintain stability and strengthen security in Europe, as well as preventing any attempts by Russia to destabilize Moldova or other countries in our region," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs summarized.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that

Zelensky met with the President of Moldova in Tirana

.

In addition, we previously informed that
