One of Russia's priorities is to protect the interests of the residents of unrecognized Transnistria, and all requests from Tiraspol are carefully considered by the relevant Russian departments, the Foreign Ministry in Moscow said, commenting on the Transnistrian authorities' request for help from Russia due to pressure from side of Moldova, reported TASS, quoted by BTA. 

"The protection of the interests of the residents of Transnistria, of our compatriots, is one of our priorities. All requests are always carefully considered by the competent Russian departments," said an official representative of the department.

Pro-Russian separatists in Moldova asked Moscow for help

The declaration, adopted at a congress of Transnistrian deputies, speaks of "social and economic pressure on Transnistria, which directly contradicts European principles and approaches to the protection of human rights and free trade," notes Reuters.

According to the declaration quoted by Russian media, the separatist authorities want Moscow "to take measures to protect Transnistria in the conditions of increasing pressure from Moldova".
