The thirty-seventh General Assembly of the National Association of Municipalities in Bulgaria (NSORB) begins today in Sofia, the Association announced.

The General Assembly will last two days.

The agenda includes a report on the activities of the Management Board of the NSORB in 2023;

report on the activity of the Control Board of the NSORB in 2023;

program for the activity of NSORB for 2024;

report on the implementation of the NSORB budget for 2023 and draft budget for 2024.

The delegates of the General Assembly of NSORB will elect the members of the new Management Board and Control Board of the Association, as well as their chairmen.

According to the Statute of NSORB, the election of members of the Management and Control Board is carried out by secret ballot, which will be held today.

The Election Commission will announce the results of the voting on Wednesday before the start of the second session of the General Assembly.

After that, there will be a procedure to nominate candidates for chairmen of the two bodies and election also by secret ballot.

The names of the elected chairmen of the Management and Control Board of NSORB will be announced on Wednesday.
