According to the Times of Israel newspaper, Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana said that he asked the Shin Bet to investigate reports from a number of government members that they and their families received threatening letters in the mail from an unknown organization calling itself the “Israeli Avengers,” where they were informed of the most important matters. They and their loved ones will be harmed in retaliation for the failure that led to the October 7 Hamas massacre in southern Israel.

The newspaper added that among those said to have received the threatening letter was Likud MK Tali Gotlev, the sister of Likud MK Moshe Saadeh and the mother of Otzma Yehudit MK Yitzhak Wasserloff.

Gottliff shared a photo of the letter she claimed to have received in the mail, writing on the X platform that “if a leftist received the letter delivered with my private inbox, they would have a security guard stationed at their door.”

According to The Times of Israel, the contents of the messages appear to vary slightly from person to person, but they contain the same basic message, “Threatening to harm a loved one in retaliation on October 7.”

The newspaper added, “The text of one of the messages shared on social media stated: ‘We will locate a member of your family who we will be able to harm without being discovered.’”

She continued: “We believe that the blame for the events of October 7 lies largely with the October 6 coalition, for which almost no one was harmed on a personal or family level by this war. The attack on you is a fair price that every Knesset member pays personally.”

The anonymous group claims to have taken revenge on what it called “family members of Palestinian terrorists” for the terrorist attack that occurred on October 7, but is now ready to strengthen its plans in the Jewish sector, according to what the newspaper reported.
