The Institute for the Study of War recently announced that the Russian occupiers had captured a village in Donetsk region.

However, the Ukrainian military says that there are currently ongoing hostilities there.

General of the Army of Ukraine, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (2005-2010) Mykola Malomuzh announced this on the air of the Espresso TV channel.

"So far, there is no confirmed information. Currently, hostilities continue there. There is no major breakthrough, but the maneuvers were carried out under the strong influence of the Armed Forces," Mykola Malomuzh said.

He also added that the occupiers transferred reserves to the village of Pobyeda and other settlements.

The Russians are trying to block this border, but the Ukrainian military has taken additional positions.

"Today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting a series of maneuvers near the village of Pobyeda, but the enemy has built up powerful resources. The Russians are acting according to the scheme as near Avdiyivka: preliminary missile strikes, use of anti-aircraft missiles, special forces strike groups. The occupiers have thrown them from this direction to Pobyeda and other populated areas. Therefore indeed, this is another frontier that they are covering in this situation. But if we talk about prospects, Ukrainian forces have taken additional prepared positions, or positions that make it possible to strike from more advantageous heights and flanks," he added.

We will remind that the occupiers shelled the city of Mykolaivka in Donetsk region - there are casualties there.
