PM Modi Gujarat Visit: 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) organized at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

During this, he said, 'The sapling which the villages of Gujarat together planted 50 years ago has today become a huge banyan tree and the branches of this huge banyan tree have spread across the country and abroad.

After India's independence, many brands were created in the country, but none like Amul.

Today Amul has become a symbol of the strength of India's cattle rearers.

'The largest milk producing country in the world'

PM Modi said, 'Today we are the largest milk producing country in the world.

8 crore people are directly associated with India's dairy sector.

In the last 10 years alone, milk production in India has increased by about 60%.

Per capita milk availability has also increased by about 40% in the last 10 years.

The dairy sector in the world is growing at the rate of only 2%.

Whereas the dairy sector in India is growing at the rate of 6%.

I want to congratulate the biggest stakeholder of the dairy sector.

It's biggest stakeholder and great contributor is our livestock.

I would like to express my gratitude for his great contribution in making this journey successful.

'India will be recognized as the dairy of the world'

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said, 'Gujarat is leading in cooperative production of milk by taking full advantage of the double engine government.

In the last two decades, the number of milk corporations in the state has doubled from 12 to 23.

More than 36 lakh people are associated with the dairy industry, of which 11 lakh are women.

Out of 16,384 milk houses, 3300 are completely run by women.

The dairy industry has made a huge contribution in making the country the 5th largest economy.

More than Rs 150 crore is paid to milk producers through DBT.

PM Modi's tenure has been one of reform and change.

In the Amrit Kaal, India will soon make its mark as the dairy of the world.

Projects worth Rs 22850 crore unveiled

Let us tell you that during his Gujarat visit, PM Modi will unveil development projects worth more than Rs 22,850 crore.

The projects will cover important sectors like roads, rail, energy, health, internet connectivity, urban development, water supply, tourism in Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Anand, Mahesana, Kutch, Kheda, Bharuch, Tapi, Vadodara, Surat, Navsari.

PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone and inaugurate development projects worth more than Rs 5,040 crore for Surat Municipal Corporation, Surat Urban Development Authority and Dream City.

This includes the laying of the foundation stone of 41 development projects costing more than Rs 3,000 crore and the inauguration of 18 development projects costing more than Rs 2,000 crore.

PM Modi will also inaugurate 50 electric buses purchased at a cost of Rs 840 crore.
