The Verkhovna Rada has 14 days between the first and second reading in order for people's deputies to introduce their amendments to the mobilization bill. At the same time, the main principles of protection of Ukraine and justice must be preserved in the document.

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk stated this on the air of the national telethon.

"There is now a big discussion, in particular, I gathered the leaders of factions and groups separately, we have already expressed one or another wishes for the draft law. It will then be refined in the committee," said the speaker of the parliament.

According to him, February 21 is the last day when you can submit amendments to this draft law.

"Given how long the corridor [for introducing] these amendments is, I think it will take some time for the committee to consider or not consider these amendments," he added.

At the same time, Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized that it is very important that the basic principles, which relied on it, remain the basis of this draft law.

"First, this is the question of Ukraine's resistance, the question of movement towards our victory. And secondly, this is a question of justice. Because this draft law in its idea should be aimed at ensuring that justice reigns," he emphasized.

It will be recalled that previously People's Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko announced that the adoption of the draft law on mobilization in Ukraine is planned to be considered at the beginning of March.
