From February 13, all campers, regardless of their total technically permissible maximum mass, will pay an electronic vignette, the API press center announced.

Until now, if camping vehicles of the M1 category were under 3.5 tons, they had to have a vignette, and if they were over 3.5 tons, they had to pay a toll fee. According to the amendments and additions to the Law on Roads, published State Gazette, no. 13 of 13.02.2024, camper vans of category M1, specified in the vehicle registration certificate, already owe a vignette fee, regardless of their total technical permissible technical maximum mass.

We remind you that the prices of electronic vignettes for cars up to 3.5 tons, as well as for trailers or caravans attached to them, will remain unchanged in 2024. The annual one is BGN 87, the quarterly one - BGN 48, the monthly one - BGN 27, and the weekly ticket - BGN 13. The price of the weekend vignette remains unchanged - BGN 9.

A separate e-vignette for a trailer or caravan is only purchased if, when attached to the car, their total weight exceeds 3.5 tons. The electronic vignette for the car and for the trailer/caravan can be of different durations as needed. For example, the vignette for the passenger car may be annual, and for the trailer or caravan it may be monthly, weekly or of another duration depending on the driver's preferences.

Campers will no longer be treated as tows and will purchase M1 category vignettes
