When Russian President Vladimir Putin threatens other countries, as he threatened Ukraine before the invasion, then "he should be trusted" and should be prepared.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radoslav Sikorsky, stated this in an interview with Radio Liberty.

Sikorskyi commented on the possibility that the war could go beyond the borders of Ukraine, and emphasized that NATO is the strongest military alliance in the world.

The minister also recalled the beginning of the biggest exercises of the Steadfast Defender-2024 block with the participation of about 90,000 soldiers.

"So it's better for Russia not to try, because they will lose. And thanks to the bravery of Ukrainian soldiers, Russia has already lost about half of its tanks and a lot of other military equipment," said the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry.

He also pointed out the importance of helping Ukraine.

"We are the strongest military alliance on Earth. But

Ukraine needs to be helped to restore its territory, and we need to find ways to do it in time.

Because time is important," Sikorsky emphasized at the same time.

The minister gave his assessment of the possibility of conflict between the Russian Federation and NATO in the context of statements by representatives of Germany and Estonia that the EU has three to eight years to prepare.

"I'm not going to speculate. But

when President Putin threatens other countries, as he threatened Ukraine before the invasion, I'm afraid that he should be believed. And that's why we need to prepare

," said Sikorsky.
