The Russian State Library was founded in 1862 and is the largest public library in Russia, continental Europe, and one of the largest libraries in the world.

As of now, as for the fire on the roof of the Russian State Library in the center of Moscow, an area of 5 square meters has already been eliminated.

According to a source of the Russian "media", the protective structure of the sculpture on the roof of the building was on fire. According to preliminary data, repair work was carried out there and the builders did not turn off the heater. There were no casualties. Fire damage is calculated by specialists.
