The epicenter of the contest will be La Piragua, located in front of Havana's Malecón and very close to the iconic Hotel Nacional de Cuba.

There will be the starting line and the finish line, and we will carry out the awards and the inauguration. The contest will be held in seven kilometers from the Malecon to the corner of Prado and Neptuno, where the skaters will turn, said the former athlete.

Colombian Karol Eliana García practically arrived from the José Martí International Airport to the tourist facility to talk to journalists.

Nice to be here. I couldn't miss this opportunity, said the champion of the marathon in the previous edition.

I have just arrived after competing in Berlin, where together with my partner and compatriot Gabriela Rueda we did the one-two, something that had never occurred since the creation of this competition in 1997, explained Karol Eliana García.

We are part of the Tequendama AC club in Bogota and we entered the finish line together with one hour, eight minutes and 59 seconds, before the French Marie Dupuy, she said before adding that it had been 14 years since they had won in Berlin. "I'm here to defend my title," he said.
