Two days before the crucial meeting of the newly-elected BJP MLAs, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday posted the message 'Ram Ram to all' on X. Speculation was rife after Chouhan appeared in the picture with folded hands in the post as 'Ram Ram' is used both as a greeting as well as a farewell message, but state BJP chief V D Sharma said MLAs and top leadership will decide who will become the next chief minister of the state after the BJP's massive victory in the assembly elections.
The three (central) observers will arrive here on Monday morning, Sharma told reporters Saturday. The MLAs will meet at 4 pm to elect their leader. Invitations have been sent to the MLAs. The decision will be taken following the process of the party.

Asked about Chouhan's tweet, Sharma said, "This is (God) Ram's country."
He said that on January 22, a grand statue of Lord Ram will be consecrated in the Ram temple of Ayodhya. We welcome each other in the morning saying 'Ram, Ram'. It is our culture to start the day with Ram's name.
He said the BJP is a cadre-based organisation and party workers will accept and respect any decision taken by the leadership.
"Our leadership... Hon'ble Prime Minister, Hon'ble Amit Shah ji, Hon'ble BJP President J.P. Nadda and central leadership will take the decision. The decision our leadership takes will be respected by the workers," he said.
To another question, he said, "MLAs will decide their leader.
The BJP on Friday appointed Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, party's OBC Morcha chief K Laxman and secretary Asha Lakra as observers for the election of its legislature party leaders in Madhya Pradesh.
