Since the murder of Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi on Tuesday, there has been resentment among Rajput organizations and members of Karni Sena.

Karni Sena called Madhya Pradesh bandh: Members of the Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena on Wednesday staged a protest in several cities of Madhya Pradesh, including Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur, against the murder of the organisation's chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi in Jaipur. Gogamedi was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at his home in Jaipur, the capital of neighbouring Rajasthan, on Tuesday. After which there is resentment in Karni Sena and Rajput organizations. Meanwhile, organisations representing the Rajput community have called for a Madhya Pradesh bandh on Thursday to protest Gogamedi's murder.

Jeevan Singh Sherpur, chief of the Karni Sena Parivar, shared a message on social media on Wednesday evening, saying, "There will be a complete shutdown in Madhya Pradesh tomorrow (Thursday) and I urge people to extend their cooperation." Rajput Karni Sena leader Anurag Pratap Singh Raghav said there is resentment among Rajputs across the state over Gogamedi's murder and the bandh called on Thursday has the support of several organisations of the community Have.

Demonstrations in many cities on Wednesday

In Bhopal, activists of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena blocked a road at Jyoti Talkies intersection in MP Nagar and demanded that the attackers involved in Gogamedi's murder be encountered. Protesters burnt tyres on the road, disrupting vehicular movement at a busy intersection in the state capital.

In Indore, the activists of the organization staged a protest in front of the District Collector's office. "We want the accused responsible for Gogamedi's murder to be arrested and given the death penalty," Karni Sena district president Rishiraj Singh Sisodia told the media. The protesters included women too. It was only after the collector himself came to collect the memorandum that the Karni Sena activists ended the sit-in protest, which lasted for about 90 minutes. The memorandum expressed outrage over the Gogamedi massacre.

In Jabalpur, Karni Sena activists staged a protest in front of the district collector's office and submitted a memorandum. In Gwalior, the activists of the organization submitted a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police (SP). Protests were also held in other districts including Dhar, Ratlam, Khargone and Damoh.
