The administration of the President of the United States, Joe Biden, said that they can currently guarantee the provision of assistance to Ukraine only for the next few weeks, while negotiations with the Republicans on the continuation of funding continue.

This was stated by the coordinator of strategic communications of the US National Security Council John Kirby, ICTV informs.

He said that in Congress, only a group of Donald Trump's supporters prevents the adoption of the necessary draft law.

"We know that there (Congress - ed.) There is strong bipartisan support. However, there is a small group of Republicans who want to hold everyone hostage to support a rather extreme border policy. Regarding which the president said that we are ready to negotiate, he believes that there will be changes in migration policy, as well as changes in the distribution of resources," Kirby said.

Earlier, it was reported that Danilov commented on the failed vote of the Senate for aid to Ukraine.

In addition, we previously reported that Ukraine and the United States signed a Memorandum on the joint production of weapons.
