The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust has invited about seven thousand people, including cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, film star Amitabh Bachchan and industrialist Mukesh Ambani, to the Ram temple for the pran pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lal. Trust sources gave this information on Wednesday. Arun Govil (Lord Ram), who plays Lord Ram in Doordarshan show "Ramayan", and Deepika Chikhalia, who plays Goddess Sita, have also been invited to attend the event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already been invited for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22, 2024. The trust has sent invitations to 3000,7 people, including 000 VVIPs. The families of the kar sevaks killed in 1992 will also be invited to the programme. Among the invitees are Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, yoga guru Ram Dev, industrialist Ratan Tata, industrialist Gautam Adani.

The trust has also invited 4000 saints from across the country who will be present at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex.

Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said, "There is an effort to call one representative from each of 50 countries for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Members of 50 karsevak families who lost their lives during the agitation have also been invited," he said. He said invitations have also been sent to judges, scientists, writers and poets.

Besides, saints, priests, Shankaracharyas, religious leaders, former bureaucrats, retired army officers, lawyers, musicians and Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardees have also been invited, Rai said.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) spokesperson Sharad Sharma said, "We have also invited journalists who supported our Ram temple movement through their newspapers, articles and reporting.

"VVIPs will get entry through bar code pass. Of the 7000,4 invitees, around 000,3000 will be religious leaders from across the country. The remaining <> will be VVIPs from different areas. Once they are registered with the link, a code will be generated which will act as an entry pass," he said.

"You are aware that after a long struggle, the construction work of the temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi is in progress. On Paush Shukla Dwadashi Vikram Samvat 2080, Monday (22 January 2024), the new vigraha of Ramlala will be consecrated in the sanctum sanctorum. It is our earnest wish that you be present in Ayodhya on this pious occasion and witness the consecration and enhance the dignity of this great historic day.

The invitation has been signed by Champat Rai, secretary of the Ram Mandir Trust. Rai said, "Ram Lalla will sit in the Ram temple in the form of a five-year-old boy. For this, three idols are being made from two rocks, one of which has been brought from Karnataka and the other from Rajasthan. The most attractive idol will be selected for consecration.
