The Anganwadis of Amritkaal are shaping the future of Indian children. Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani, in an exclusive conversation with NDTV, informed that the concept of Saksham Anganwadi is completely different from the ordinary Anganwadi. A small room and Anganwadi didi there, such is not the imagination of PM Modi about the Anganwadi. Under Saksham Anganwadi, the space of the Anganwadi should be connected to BharatNet, audio visual device, arrangement of rain water harvesting, every Anganwadi sister has a smartphone, that too with such apps and devices so that every beneficiary can be reached with a record. 2 lakh Anganwadis have been started only from aspirational districts. Anganwadis are marked according to the population in every district of the country. Talking about tribal areas, there is not much population, yet the PM said that by changing the rules, the benefits of all government schemes including Anganwadi should be provided there.

Irani further said that PM Modi had three concerns, first mortality at the time of delivery, nutritious diet for children below six years of age, third concern whether work is being done on academic dropouts, especially girls' education in the middle. PM Modi had a special focus on this. Aspirational districts were chosen from this point of view. District magistrates considered such postings in BIMARU districts as punishment. PM Modi said that give such districts to the most capable officers. The level of national achievement was stated to be high. Actually, PM Modi's resolve is the resolve of a developed India. If a developed India has to be built, it has to be fundamentally strengthened.

It is worth mentioning that 'Amritkal Ki Anganwadi', a one-day conclave of the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development and NDTV, brings out the potential of Anganwadis as safe, inclusive and healthy spaces for mothers and young children along with elementary education centers and early intervention centers. The ministry's 'Poshan bhi, Padha bhi' initiative, disability protocols, DIY and traditional toy manufacturing and focus on nutrition and dietary diversity have changed the face of anganwadis. Honorable Minister Smriti Irani says how can we reimagine Anganwadis to shape the future of India.
