The Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan, will not take part in the meeting within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which will be held in Moscow on December 19.

This was stated by the spokeswoman for the chairman of the Armenian parliament Tsovinar Khachatryan, writes News Armenia.

"Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan will not take part in the visiting meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, which will be held in Moscow on December 19," the press secretary said.

It is noted that the delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia will also not take part in the meeting.

"Alen Simonyan informed the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin about his decision not to go to Moscow in an official letter," Khachatryan said.

Recall that Armenia did not come to the CSTO meeting, which took place in Minsk on November 23. In particular, for Moscow, Yerevan's decision came as a surprise.
