The blocking of the border with Poland does not affect the supply of weapons to the Ukrainian army. Such cargoes are not blocked by Polish strikers.

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said this in an interview with Channel 24.

"It's all (the supply of weapons - Ed.) is within the framework of Poland's absolutely clear strategy for military assistance to Ukraine. This is not blocked, other goods – commercial – are blocked. This is a bad situation, but everything related to military assistance is within the framework of agreements with partners through the territory of Poland. Therefore, we need to be calm about it," the representative of the Office of the President emphasizes.

Podolyak calls the blockade of the border with Poland "an echo of a rather fierce political struggle in the parliamentary elections" in the neighboring country. According to Podolyak, it is necessary to wait for the formation of a coalition government, "where the key person - the prime minister - will become, as far as we understand, Donald Tusk"

"Today, the interim government of Mateusz Morawiecki is not actively working to lift the blockade and, probably, will no longer work actively. Therefore, we need to wait a week or two for the relevant decisions to be made," said the adviser to the head of the President's Office.

To recap, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki supported the Polish strikers who, due to the border blockade, want the abolition of the "transport visa-free regime". According to him, the old permit system for freight transportation, which operated until the summer of 2022, "worked well."

Meanwhile, the leader of the Polish opposition, Donald Tusk, who may become the prime minister of Poland, cannot be forgiven" due to the blockade of the Ukrainian border.

Recall that on November 27, Polish President Andrzej Duda appointed Mateusz Morawiecki as prime minister and took the oath of office from the new government. Morawiecki will now have two weeks to get a vote of confidence in the Sejm for the new government.
