Russian aviation began to use the RBK-500 cluster bomb weighing 500 kg more often against the Ukrainian military.

This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense, citing British intelligence data.

According to intelligence officers, RBK-500 is used against Ukrainian forces in the Vuhledar direction and near Avdiivka in the Donetsk region.

"Depending on the variant, each RBK-500 releases approximately 100 to 350 submunitions. In turn, each submunition usually detonates either hundreds of high-velocity fragments or one larger anti-tank charge," the intelligence warns.

The department adds that due to the large number of submunitions, one aerial bomb can cause damage over an area of several hundred meters.

"There is a realistic possibility that, as with other air-dropped bombs, Russia has likely recently integrated the UMPC Guided Remote Planning Kit into the RBC-500. This allows the carrier aircraft to release ammunition many kilometers from the target. Russian bomb kits generally showed low accuracy," the intelligence officers said.

As previously reported by a military expert, the occupiers have a cunning plan for the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Bakhmut.
