Satna: In the case of the death of a pregnant daughter-in-law and newborn in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, the police (Satna Police) have arrested the accused in-laws, while the husband of the deceased woman is still on the run. At the same time, the woman's family has filed a case of dowry harassment and assault on the in-laws.

In September this year, a case of wrong delivery of a woman was reported in Ghurdang of Satna (Satna), in which the woman and her newborn child died. While investigating the case, the police have arrested the accused in-laws.

Man dies due to wrong cutting of pulse

According to the information, the in-laws of the deceased woman forced the delivery of the woman at home. During the delivery, the woman gave birth to a baby girl, whose pulse was cut by the deceased's mother-in-law Meena Kol. Shortly after, the newborn girl and the pregnant woman Ranjana Kol died. The woman's husband Sachin Kol, mother-in-law Meena Kol and father-in-law Sheshmani Kol were negligent in treating the woman. It was also found that during the pregnancy, the woman was not allowed to consult any doctor by her in-laws.

In the post-mortem report, the doctor revealed that the woman died due to excess secretions. While the newborn child's life was due to lack of proper care. The police have registered a case under Sections 498A, 304 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the accused.

Husband used to beat him after drinking alcohol

Investigation of the case revealed that the accused husband used to beat the woman after drinking alcohol. Therefore, the people of the maternal side lodged a complaint of assault and dowry harassment on the in-laws. At present, the police have arrested two accused and sent them to jail. A search is on for one of the accused.
