South Sudan's President Salva Kiir has sacked two ministers and the governor of Warrap state in the north.

Kiir fired the Minister of Presidential Affairs, Barnaba Marial Benjamin, as well as the Minister of Commerce, Kuol Athian.

He also removed the Minister of Public Service, Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro and made him Minister of Presidential Affairs.

No reason was given for the sacking, but it follows the recent dismissal of several security officers including the police chief due to rumors of a coup.
