The Ministry of Development reports that from mid-December in supermarket chains there will be a discount in Christmas goods after an agreement of traders with the ministry. The aim is to provide goods at affordable prices, which will provide Christmas gifts and food for people on low incomes.
The action is called "Santa's basket" and will offer toys, children's clothing, meat and Christmas cookies.
In recent months, supermarkets have been offering and selling cheaper groceries.

At the same time, financial authorities imposed a fine of one million euros on a coffee company, due to illogically high prices in the market. Within a day, the company reduced prices in stores by 25%.
