"Tonight, the first patients in a relatively urgent state were admitted to the ship," Lecornue said, welcoming the fact that France was "the first Western power to provide medical resources so close to the Gaza Strip."
More hostages and prisoners from Hamas and Israel are expected to be released.
According to the minister, the hospital structure on board the ship, which docked on Monday, includes two operating rooms, 40 beds, more than 80 staff, scanners and laboratories for analysis.
