In the south of Poland, in the Sobieski coal mine, in the city of Jaworzno, on the afternoon of November 28, an accident occurred, as a result of which four miners died.

The accident occurred at about 15:30 local time – a water pipe burst at a depth of 500 meters underground.
Six people were working at the scene of the incident at the time of the explosion: four died, two more were injured.
Tauron Wydobycie is the third largest mining company in Poland in terms of coal production. The company's three mines employ a total of more than 6300,<> people.
The higher mining authority in Katowice said that, according to preliminary data, the cause was an uncontrolled burst of a pipeline that was filled with water.
According to official figures, since the beginning of the year, 11 people have died as a result of mine accidents in Poland, and last year 36 fatal mine accidents were recorded.
