17 laborers trapped in the under-construction Silkyara Tunnel (Uttarkashi Tunnel Collapse) in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand for the last 41 days have finally been evacuated. The workers who came out have been brought directly to the health center of Chinyalisaur through ambulance. He will be kept under the supervision of doctors there. On the morning of November 12, i.e. Diwali, a part of the tunnel collapsed. All of them were trapped inside since that day. After coming out of the tunnel after 17 days, these laborers have tears of joy in their eyes. At the same time, their families are jumping with joy. The families of the workers have thanked the rescue teams, rat hole miners and CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and the central government.
State and central government agencies as well as the army, various organizations, rat hole miners and world-renowned tunnel experts were involved in the rescue operation of the workers. Among the labourers rescued from the Silkyara tunnel is Vishal, who lives in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi. "I am very happy with the governments of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, I thank them from the bottom of my heart," Vishal's mother Urmila was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

The incident took place on Diwali. On the festival of lights, there was darkness in the lives of the families of these laborers. Now after 17 days, when the laborers have been safely evacuated, Diwali is being celebrated in their family. Bhubaneswar: Children of a labourer's family lit fireworks in Odisha's Bhubaneswar. Dishes were made. Each other's mouths were sweetened.

There is a festive atmosphere at the house of laborer Manjeet, trapped in Silkyara Tunnel of Uttarkashi. Manjeet is a resident of Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh.

There is also an atmosphere of celebration in Kheerabeda village located on the outskirts of Ranchi. Here the villagers distributed 'laddus'. Rajendra (55), the only son of paralysed Shravan Bedia (22), was trapped in the tunnel. After a long disappointment, he was seen in a wheelchair outside his hut with some relief on his face. Apart from Rajendra, two other people from the village — Sukhram and Anil, both in their early 20s — were trapped in the tunnel.
Anil's brother Sunil, who is camping outside the tunnel in Uttarkashi, said, "Finally, God has listened to us. My brother could be saved. I am with him in the ambulance while taking him to the hospital. My brother's condition is stable."
Sunil had been waiting for his brother for the past one week. He also works in this project. He said that it was the most difficult time of his life.
