"In the last hour, three improvised explosive devices exploded in two different incidents in the northern Gaza Strip near IDF forces, contrary to ceasefire agreements, and in one case firing was fired at the force," the army said in a statement.

"This resulted in a number of fighters being lightly injured, and in both incidents, IDF forces remained within the agreed ceasefire lines."

On Tuesday, Hamas called for pressure on Israel to abide by all terms of the truce on the ground and in the air.

Abu Obeida, military spokesman for the movement's military wing, said: "As a result of a clear violation by the enemy of the truce agreement in the northern Gaza Strip today, there was field friction and our mujahideen dealt with this violation."

He added: "We are committed to the truce as long as the enemy adheres to it, and we call on the mediators to pressure the occupation to abide by all the terms of the truce on the ground and in the air."
