After repairs, 9 reactors of Ukrainian nuclear power plants were put into operation. All of them are except for the occupied ZNPP. Nuclear workers have completed a large-scale repair campaign ahead of schedule and are actively training to counter military threats.

This is stated in the story of TSN correspondent Olena Shvorak.

Taking into account last year's events, power engineers were preparing for the cold season very seriously. All station personnel were mobilized for repairs. They learned to make spare parts that they used to buy from the aggressor country on their own.

"This is the end of Russia's monopoly on the market for the production of fuel for Soviet-designed reactors," said Energoatom President Pyotr Kotin.

The repair campaign at the power units was completed ahead of schedule, the head of Energoatom assures.

"All power units located in the territory controlled by Ukraine have been repaired and reloaded with fresh nuclear fuel. Now we are ready to go through the autumn-winter period at the maximum capacity of power units," says Petro Kotin.

Without the Zaporizhzhya NPP, Ukrainian reactors provide 60% of all necessary energy to the state's energy system. Therefore, a total blackout, nuclear workers hope, will be avoided. But temporary shutdowns are possible - it all depends on enemy attacks and severe frosts

Light in homes also depends on whether Ukraine will be able to protect its energy system, which is still one of the goals of the enemy army.
