CRISTIANO Ronaldo has shown his composure by refusing a penalty awarded to him by the referee after he dropped himself in the danger zone in the Asian Champions League match between Al-Nassr and Persepolis of Iran.

Ronaldo crashed into the danger zone in the first half and referee Ma Ning signalled a penalty, while Persepolis players complained to the referee, Ronaldo joined them in denying the penalty.

After Ronaldo did the same with the opposing players, the referee watched a repeat of the incident to overturn his decision.

In the final game, Al-Nassr ended the deficit after defender Ali Lajimi was sent off for a red card in the second half for a foul on Milad Sarlak.
