In Kyiv, another militant who fought on the side of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic" was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Prosecutors of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office found a 57-year-old native of Poltava region guilty of high treason and participation in an illegal armed formation of the so-called "DPR" (Part 2 of Article 111, Part 2 of Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The prosecutor proved in court that in March 2023, while in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region, the accused voluntarily signed a contract for military service in the illegal armed groups of the so-called "DPR". He was appointed driver-mechanic of the 2nd Motorized Rifle Company of the 2nd Motorized Rifle Battalion of the 11th Separate Motorized Rifle Regiment "Vostok", the so-called "DPR", which was created, subordinated, managed and financed by the Russian Federation.
Subsequently, in pursuance of the order of the military command of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, acting deliberately, as part of an illegal armed formation, he loaded ammunition for Grad multiple rocket launchers, T-64 tanks, 152 mm barrel artillery and other heavy military equipment to meet the needs of the Russian Armed Forces.
According to the principled position of the prosecutor of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, the Solomyansky District Court of Kyiv found the accused guilty of committing the incriminated crimes and sentenced him to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
As previously reported, with the support of public prosecution by prosecutors of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, the courts handed down five sentences against five militants of the illegal armed groups of the russian federation in the period July-October 2023. Each of them was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
