In the Odesa region, the death toll due to bad weather has increased to 5 people. At least 19 people were injured.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky during his evening address on November 27.

"Unfortunately, as of now, there are casualties. Most of them are in the Odesa region, five people. My condolences to his family and friends," the president said.

According to him, at least 19 people were injured.

"Everyone has been provided with the necessary assistance. Both at the state and regional levels, operational headquarters will work until the normal situation is restored," he added.

With reference to reports on the situation in those of our regions where there are consequences of bad weather, Zelensky reported on the blackout of almost 1500 settlements in 17 regions.

"Power engineers are working everywhere to restore supplies. As soon as this is possible, every city, every village will receive electricity. Currently, hundreds of people and hundreds of pieces of equipment are working around the clock only on the part of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine," Zelenskyy added.

Meanwhile, as the website reported earlier, due to snowfalls, strong winds and ice in the Odesa region, rescuers have already helped 1927 people get home, of which 138 children were rescued.

According to forecasters, a new cyclone is approaching Ukraine. It will cover most of the country, but precipitation will be of a varied phase.
