Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov had a weekly telephone conversation with my American counterpart, Minister Lloyd Austin, during which, in particular, he spoke about the situation on the battlefield.

He announced this on his Facebook page.

"We discussed current priorities for security assistance and joint steps to strengthen the capabilities of the Ukrainian army. I also emphasized the massive attack by Russian drones on Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure on Holodomor Remembrance Day," he said, expressing gratitude to Secretary Austin for his "unwavering support."

The Pentagon shared the details of the conversation. Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder said that they discussed the latest information about the situation at the front.

"Secretary Austin condemned Russia's continuous shelling of Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure with missiles and unmanned aerial systems. The parties also discussed the priorities of security assistance as Ukraine continues to fight Russian aggression," the ministry said in a statement on its website.

Earlier, it was reported that important changes in military aid to Ukraine took place in the Ramstein format.
