The Turkish presidency statement read: "Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. During the talks, they discussed illegal Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, activities to provide humanitarian aid to the Palestinians and steps that can be taken to achieve a permanent ceasefire in the region.According to the statement, President Erdogan said that Iran and Turkey will continue to work together to make the temporary ceasefire permanent and achieve lasting peace.The statement noted that the two presidents also exchanged views on the preparations and agenda of the high-level Turkish-Iranian Cooperation Council to be held in Turkey.
