In the Odesa region, on November 26, traffic was blocked on the M-15 Odesa-Reni highway due to a severe blizzard, snowdrifts and ice on the road.

According to the service for the restoration and development of infrastructure in the Odesa region, due to increased bad weather, traffic on the M-15 Odesa-Reni highway (to Bucharest) is blocked for all types of transport. Traffic restrictions have also been introduced for heavy vehicles on the highway M-05 Kyiv - Odesa, km 274 + 435 - km 466 + 700.

Temporary closure of traffic for heavy vehicles was introduced on public roads of state importance M-15 Odesa-Reni (to Bucharest) and M-28 Odesa - Yuzhne - /M-14/ (Odessa bypass).

"Traffic is temporarily closed for heavy vehicles due to deteriorating weather conditions (intense snow, squally wind and ice), in order to ensure the effective operation of snow removal equipment and prevent traffic accidents and traffic jams," the statement said.

As noted, the restrictions have already come into force from 8:30 a.m., on November 26, on the highways M-15 Odesa - Reni (to Bucharest) km 11 + 920 - km 307 + 718 and M-28 Odesa - Yuzhne - /M-14/ (Odessa bypass) km 3 + 450 - km 28 + 315.

The approximate time of the traffic ban is 12 hours. Information on the lifting of the ban and the resumption of traffic will be provided additionally.

The State Emergency Service in Odesa oblast is eliminating the consequences of bad weather.

Thus, as of 11:30 a.m., rescuers were involved 18 times in eliminating the consequences of bad weather. The work is carried out in Odessa and in the region.

In the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, an ambulance was pulled out of a snowdrift and escorted to the place of the call.
